VHCF Behavior of Inconel 718 in Different Heat Treatment Conditions in a Hot Air Environment

چکیده

The very high cycle properties of Inconel 718 in two different heat treatment conditions were investigated at a test temperature 500 °C. One condition was optimized for fatigue strength and displayed finer-grained microstructure, while the second batch had more coarse-grained microstructure. For high-temperature ultrasonic testing, new concept developed. method is based on principle hot-air furnace thus differs from conventionally used induction heaters. could be successfully evaluated course investigations. materials’ microstructure analyzed before after testing by means metallographic electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD)analysis. results show significant influence caused specific Further, difference crack propagation behavior due to microstructural influences non-metallic precipitations observed.
